ABOUT THIS HUNT

Of special note are the Sudan Roan antelope Chanler Mountain reedbuck, Sesse Islands sitatunga, Jackson’s hartebeest, and Uganda kob. These unique species are not huntable in any other African country. Choose between six unique hunting areas or a combination of multiple areas in order to obtain the most diversity of species.
LAKE MBURO COMMUNITY WILDLIFE AREA
This game-rich community conservation area sits adjacent to the Lake Mburo National Park which is home to thousands of zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi, sitatunga and reedbuck to mention only a few. Most of the hunting concession sits on Lake Nshara and consists of wooded savanna and papyrus swamps. Here you will experience how a large, healthy wildlife population can co-exist with rural communities. This unique area produces some of Uganda’s finest trophy specimens.
BUGUNGU WILDLIFE RESERVE
Bugungu sits in Uganda’s Great Rift Valley and forms part of the Murchison Falls National Park conservation area, the oldest and largest national park in the country. The area is home to large herds of Uganda kob as well as Nile bushbuck, oribi, East African Bush duiker, warthog, East African Defassa waterbuck, Jackson’s hartebeest, and Nile buffalo. Fishing for the mighty Nile perch can be done at the nearby Murchison Falls as a safari add-on.
PIAN UPE WILDLIFE RESERVE
Established as a game reserve in the 1960’s Pian Upe is one of the prime hunting areas in drier northeastern Uganda. It is the second largest protected area in the country and covers a massive 2,275 sq. km in the Karamonjong area, made famous by Karamoja Bell. Species include Jackson’s hartebeest, Guenther’s dik dik, East African Bohor reedbuck, East African (Patterson’s) eland, and the very rare and sought-after Sudan roan antelope and Chanler Mountain reedbuck.
